This time the photos from the WW2 simulation. Was taking place in Ekaterinburg city, and that’s not something about shooting the movie - just a pure fun of dedicated people.

this is not one reason - there are two of them. and there are at least two other reasons:
1. the “super Aryan race” got fleas and colds and proved their being just people and nothing more.
2. nazi ideology proved to be weak and I’d say weltfremd. nazis showed disrespect to the peoples of the invaded lands and so they got disrespected themselves.
I think these are the most important reasons but not the weather. if you are a super-nation you must be capable of coping with bad weather.
You must realize that virtually the entire world ganged up on Germany (for good reason, but nonetheless). Had Russia been forced to fight Germany, America, the British Empire, and the French Empire, all at the same time, it may not have ended too well for them either… even if they had been allied with Japan and Italy. Americans alone outnumber Russians by a margin of nearly 2-1 (Russians, not Soviets), to give you an idea of their numbers, and throughout the entire German invasion, the Soviets were dependent on Allied supplies being shipped in thru Murmansk and Arkhangelsk, while they were scrambling to relocate their industries to the Far East. In the battle of Kursk for example, the Soviets were armed with thousands of Mustangs, and Spitfires from Anglo-America… plus they had stockpiles of Allied ammo, guns, artillery, etc… at their disposal, on top of what their eastern factories were beginning to produce. Had Germany been armed with thousands of Allied planes, guns, and soldiers, and had access to Allied oil and steel, they would’ve been one tough nut to crack… and that is difficult to debate.
Also consider the possibility of the Russians fighting a two-front war, without the help of the USA… Had Japan invaded Sakhalin and Kamchatka, rather than attacking Pearl Harbor, they would’ve had to do exactly that. If the Japanese had invaded during the height of the Battle of Stalingrad in particular, the Russians would’ve had to keep all their eastern armies in the east to fight the Japanese, rather than transporting them west to face Germany. Had Germany punched thru the Caucuses, and kicked open the door to the Middle-East, both Germany’s and Japan’s thirst for oil would’ve been quenched and Russia would’ve been in a lot of trouble. The hubris of the Axis was simply stunning. The Japanese essentially believed Russia was all but finished, and signed a non-aggression pact with them in order to protect their flank so they could open up an entirely new front against America. Their shortsightedness was incredible, and they ended up making a suicidal mistake that is better defined as a “turning point in world history”.

However, that does not change the fact that Sovdepovskaya armia threw soldiers around like dirt. A soldat was cheaper than a round of ammo for the russian “army”. Germans fought with ammunition, Sovok fought with bodies.
So, when Germans entered Sovok, their infantry was around 2 million. How many (or should I say ‘how much’?) of Russian infantry were killed during ‘41?

Infantry was used pretty roughly, but they were also WELL TRAINED, WELL EQUIPPED and had a high morale (From late 1943 onwards). So they always fought well.

We do talks and lectures for local schools in Russia as well as charitiable work for the veterans as well, and on the whole the response from VOV veterans is extremely positive, with many of them attending reconstructions.

These reenactors are awesome; I love the uniforms and weapons! Also the reenactments here don’t have awesome tanks, so I’m jealous…
Well,look its obvious that the first Russian winter(just like Napoleons Grande Armee)played a huge part in the defeat of Nazi Germany.The Germans were in Moscow(some suburbs) when it started and some Germans even saw the Kremlin and its true that the Soviets were better equipped for the harsh winter,so their clothes were warmer and they had their furry hats or tuque things.Germans had no such things and it wasnt because they were dumb or bad at planning invasions that they didnt have early winter equipment(later they realized their errors and made their own white camouflaged equipment).It is because Hitler and his staff thought they could defeat Russia before winter using Blitzkrieg(like France)If it werent for the winter that froze to death many germans and some Soviets, the Germans would surely of conquered Moscow completely and there would have been no Stalingrad and Leningrad would be cut off with no road of life and Soviet Russia would capitulate or continue fighting in the Urals where they would face a fate worse maybe than Berlin 45.It is true that the russians had not many guns(depends could range from 7 for 10 or 2 for 10)and would take some from the fallen.Russian high command(STAVKA etc) thought russian soldiers so cheap for there were many and considered a grenade worth more than a ruski soldier.To get more men some russian soldiers raided at night in little groups captured villages occupied by germans and took formerly soviet people without their will (including women)to be drafted in the Soviet army without any or proper training or equipment and they would almost always send them first to attack Axis lines as cannon fodder.Few survived.Whenever there was a gap in german lines (sometimes made by Soviet cannon fodder) russians would pour troops in and stuff even after super severe casualties to overwhelm the position (like Kursk).Anyways im tired of writing but all of this is true and can be easily verified inn WW2 books and magaines.
