They promise it would look as cool as Lambo or Ferrari but would cost much less.
And yes, they called it “MaRussia”, whatever it could mean.

Russians are good at many thnigs - arms production and trafficking, for example. Sports car production/design… is just not one of them, I’m afraid.

The interor looks like shit but the outside is a decent effort.

That car is so wrong. But the name “MaRussia” is especially wrong. It’s a play on words by people who obviously don’t speak English. The name ‘Маруся’ becomes ‘Marusia’ in translit (Russian written with English letters). Add ‘Russia’ and you got ‘MaRussia’. With correct English pronunciation it sounds like ‘dirty’ or ‘messy’ (Маша-мараша).
The car itself is just another poor attempt at creating something beautiful. Why even try? Russia is a rough country, not a nice country like Italy. I would stick to creating rugged vehicles like UAZ, Lada and Niva. That’s Russian. Ferrari and Lamborghini is not.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head.
Plus, can you see anyone, even a Russian, choosing “MaRussia” over Porsche Boxster or a Lotus Elise? Frankly, even if the car looked like an Alfa 8C, the badge alone would make you want to run out of the dealership screaming “Bring back the USSR”!

Is this car for Halloween? It would be perfect for that. Then you simply store it inside of your 50-car garage until the next year, no problems. (Says a person without even ONE car….)
Front view is killer, rear view just sucked. I have nothing against that color combo, but would be much better if whole bottom had the same color, and roof + columns in black or dark gray (which could be even better rather than black).
Suspension looks great tho, double arms work gracefully and need less room. Every street car should have this; McPherson is cheaper, but just sucks.
About the interior, the designer lacks of good taste. They might get some inspiration of some Italian carrozzerie.
This car would never make it past US and EU safety standards. It doesn’t even have airbags does it? And did they think about safety when they made it? The interior is one of the ugliest things I’ve ever seen and is too soviet-styled. The stripes on the seat make it look even worse. And the interior looks cheap.

check out their website http://www.marussiaclub.ru/en/ before making any more f*cked up comments ’bout this car….i personally think it’s quite neat (give us “Ruskies” a chance…these are our first steps in manufacturing a sports car….especially when we’re talking about projects like this one (just founded small car manufacturer with its private capital) which is probably won’t survive for long…I’m not trying to compare it to any Italian sports car manufacturer, but think of it this way; “they didn’t start off building sports cars they’re producing nowadays…..i think lambo started off building traсtors”……who knows, maybe in 10-20 yrs time we come up with some kicking ass sports car)…..bare that in mind;)
P.S. I’d say it’s pretty good for a start!
