Bears are unpredictable. In National Parks they may seem tame and should never be approached.

DO NOT tease the bear with food.
Just leave entire bucket and walk away.

If I was such a bear, I would want the meat at the end of the bucket too. After living at the end of a chain I wouldn’t settle for s**t from a bucket, when I could have the idiot holding it. Shame the bear did not get the chance to enjoy himself completely.

zenmetsu already said it but I’ll repeat it because I agree. The bear wanted the food. If you’re ‘attacked’ by an animal and you have food, just drop the food away from yourself where they can get it.
Also, animals like bears and tigers should not be kept as pets. It’s a lifetime of torture for them and they may kill somebody some day.
You see stuff like this in redneck parts of the US. The dumbass in Florida crying because the crocodile he kept on a chain in the yard ate his son who was teasing it is a perfect example.
