ugly,
Согласен, совершеннейшая хуйня.
Fucking ugly shit
yes ugly
A true representation of life in Russia, sad isnt it
I like it
Who is the artist?
I like the paintings, they’re pretty cool. They radiate this sort of dark morbid feeling. Does anyone know the artist’s name?
They are ugly on purpose.
Anyone else noticed the cows fucking in the background?
yes, i did.
you must be real art expert if you noticed this important detail
Люблю эти картинки!
They remind me a lot of the Russian avantgarde paintings from the early 20s. Russian painters, Repin, Malewitsch, Kandinsky are the real heroes of art!
But I could swear, this picture with the baby biting a rat is by Salvador Dali. Why is the peasant in the Lenin picture holding his arm behind his back as if he was hiding something?
Read your high-school textbooks once again and try using your eyes.
This trash has nothing to do with Malevich or Kandinsky.
BTW, Dali sucks.
Sorry for you CZenda, obviously is a lot of Repin in this style, but a lot of Malewitsch too, I mean the figurative one, the Malewitsch of the portraits, not the one of your high-school textbooks, Im sure you only study his 4 more famous paintings… Anyway you finish your comment with ‘Dali sucks’ and this, give us and idea of how much you know about art!
I know enough to despise the attention whore Dali.
End of story.
Ok ok, take it easy CZenda… here in Spain we say ‘Para gustos los colores’ in other words: there are diferent colors for diferent people and diferent points of view.
Is that Super Lenin in pic 9?
Of course, only the jews create real art.
Everything else is trash.
^^^ A reply to CZenda
Interesting. Reminds me of Pieter Bruegel, with a healthy chunk of Bosch thrown in for good measure…
and with a steamy bowl of Borscht poured on top of all that.
Seriously, one of my favourites. you should also check http://kopeikinn.livejournal.com or http://vasya-lozhkin.livejournal.com for some serious Russsian Bosch-ness.
Looks a lot like the real thing.
Hey, why nobody (except CZenda) asked WHAT THE HELL DALI (pic 10) IS DOING HERE? Are you really so stupid to think that he is a “modern Russian artist”? If so, do you know the modern russian composer Bach and modern russian politician Napoleon?
oh, sorry. Of course that was Johnny, not CZenda.
To the people who say it’s ugly..
go back to buying your f—ing diesel cologne and your Guido clothes, with plenty of techno-trance (alterated fire alarm) music for good measure.
This artist’s work is some of the most interesting I’ve seen in some time. I really like the one with the men in boats, almost canoes, with the motors.
Yep, I like it too. It’s cool. Better than the average shallow photoshop shit. This has many levels of interest.
I beg you, stop confusing “Russian” with “From Russia”. It’s not the same thing! Obviously this “artist” is a Jew, he is not “Russian”! His hatred towards real russians radiates through these ugly pictures!
Are you for real ? This is depicting Russia as accurate as you can get it! Not idealized soviet crap.
I do not care what ethical background the artist[s] have, but this is the real thing. The only thing that matters in the end is the art, not the artist, unless you are Dali, who was art himself.
you ignorant fool, wtf does religion have to do with nationality. I’m Jewish and Russian.. let that blow your mind a little.
But please, don’t get offended, keep being ignorant.. that’s how the world economy works, the more of you..the better it does.
on another note, this is wonderful work. I haven’t seen art this good since before someone thought throwing paint on a painting looks good and called it an artform.
The men in boats one is my favourite too… maybe for the contrast of the sunny blue sky and the dirty canoes, or just for the feeling of movement of the composition… really interesting.
awesome paintings, no doubt
I think it’s Ohio or Florida after the mortgage crisis.
In reference to picture #5… We have a Centaur living right here in Texas… Take a look.

SHIT!, I didn’t mean to post this so many times. ER was very slow yesturday. Sorry…
Of peasant village life and soviet political strife yes. Other than that, nothing true about it.
Are you Indian as in from America or Asia? both civilizations are shit but just wondering.
Excellent! I really liked 1 thu 9, especially 1 and 9. This artists style reminds me of the American artist Robert Crumb’, here:
http://www.crumbproducts.com/
A somewhat unsettling style, yet I found it penetrating.
But does anybody know the artist’s name? And where is Russia they are from? Please..
I wouldn’t call this art. This is horse shit. Why does art keep getting worse instead of better. What happened to the beautiful old Russian paintings I know. They weren’t degenerate or provocative.
COOOL
Очень понравилось - вот о художнике http://www.moscow-painters.ru/db/invention.php?id=681
I like it… Something in English http://www.artscope.net/VAREVIEWS/shulzhenko0799.shtml
Well. The name of this artist is Vasiliy Shulzhenko. A strange depressive sometimes ugly works, but not ordinal and noone can repeat these.
http://yaghr.livejournal.com/26458.html - here a bit more paints by V. Shulzhenko
the Artist name is Vasiliy Shulzhenko
