Wasting valuable heat energy while people froze to death in millions allover russia every year, gullible russians amuse me
I work in mineral industry, somewhere in E.U., we also pour slag, at night it’s really impressive, the whole place glows up in yellow-orange color! It’s temperature is about 1200-1300 degrees Celsius, if dumping place is wet from rain, sometimes it creates quite loud explosions!
Just for your curiosity, slag is the byproduct of the process of iron (or other metals) ore in furnaces. Sometimes is used as sandblasting material or as inert material for roadworks but the majority is just dumped in quarries, bottom of the sea or artificial “hills”
