this monument is not of soviet era. it was built in 1940, before the soviet era.

The sculpture surely wasn’t ment to be that way in night time (as there were no lights directed at it when it was placed there). Some creative guys just figured out how to make it cooler in night time.
I agree with this guy, there’s even a signature on the stars, saying “morfai”.
This is actually a sculpture of a book smuggler (it should have a prettier name, but I guess I just don’t know it).
Arnas, this is not book smuggler. Book smuggler is next to this statue. And this statute was raised in 1939

it was built in 1939, and that wasn’t soviet period.
