Vodka And Yoga 2. Walking on Fire

It is well known, that Russian people use vodka for doing yoga. On the one hand, it helps to relax and make different exercises that need relaxation. On the other, some strong home-brew vodka can easily burn as a fuel. Drinking such beverage can allow you to walk on fire.
Caution! Only for Russians! Don’t try this at home!

first!
No, I had the Supreme Court recount the votes. Now I am first.
nice, first!
Very interesting. I don’t know about the vodka part in this, but I understand that there are physical principals that allow this to be done.
You just walk really fast. Like swinging your hand through a fire, but if you keep it on the fire, it burns.
Why do people do this? I ask this seriously. Off all the things one could do in their spare time…
I’m cutting brush and riding a bike in the blazing Texas midday sun. Who wants to get sunburn and sunstroke with me?
Me! But it isn’t that hot! It’s only 90F.
You need a fire that’s been burning for some time so that you have glowing (not flaming) embers that can be raked into a nice flat layer. You then need ash on top: ash is a good thermal insulator. Feet have thick skin. The rest is down to walking quickly and securely so that your feet do not stay down for long and go down flat without puncturing the ash layer. That’s what all the mental preparation is for: making sure that you walk correctly. It’s not uncommon for firewalkers to pick up a minor burn or two.
Natural moisture on feet also helps.
no first this time
hmm
Where is vodka?
idiotshit. You dont need to be a yogie to walk across warm glowing ashes. They simply drink vodka because thats all they do. I guess everything+Vodka=Russian sport, yes?
RUSSIA SUCKS!
Boris,
If I were to get biggest brains in all of Moscow to re-write alphabet, I would have them put the ‘U’ and ‘I’ together.
Love Always,
Vladimir
That’s nice
Do these people serve in Russia Army or Salvation Army? Where do they buy those clothes?
The clothes look to be sensible clothes if you are going firewalking in Russian woods.
I can’t see anything wrong with the clothes at all. There’s no sign of the old Soviet fashion disasters, that’s for sure.
If the clothes were all from second-hand shops (and it doesn’t look like it), again I’d say that they were sensible clothes to wear when firewalking in Russian woods.
Have you thought about how to dress when firewalking in Russian woods?
Do you think this is some kind of SoCal teenage air-head fashion parade they’re engaged in? Don’t be stupid!
Clearly photoshop
foot fungus fighting russian style
Now, about that clothing… There is a big diversity in people’s earnings these days in Russia. There are lots of people who earn below the social minimum. And there is also a group of “novye russkiye”. They don’t know how to spend the money. So next time think twice before commenting on russian clothings.
You are stupid….stupid! These people make the above Putin recommended russia minimum. These peoples have the cars and money to do the yogi on the rocks!
I thought about it, and yes, I get your point, maybe you’re right, but certainly you don’t have to call me stupid.

I started taking Yoga lessons last month and i am amazed of how it can take away the stress of my mind and body.

it is easy to learn Yoga although it seems difficult at first try. I practice Yoga mainly for relaxation and for improving my blood circulation.
