Cemetery Recycles

This is a territory of Moscow cemetery, you even can see a tomb cross in the left corner of the photo and on the distant side of it there is one more business: the recycling point, so cemetery carries recycling sings on one of its buildings. Can this be called a disrespect?

No, it can’t. Next?
I agree. No. Partying with hookers and dancing on the graves, yes.
Soylent Green is… people…
Eat the rich!
I was in Moscow and Cheboksary last year. I couldn’t find any inter-city cemeteries. I was told by my girlfriend that Russians are spooked by death, and therefore prefer cemeteries in the countryside.
Cemeteries are great to interpret a city’s history. I am curious… Do Russians prefer burial or cremation? Are above ground crypts common in cemeteries? What about indoor mausoleums? Are they common? Mr. Webmaster I would like to see some pictures of some cemeteries in Russia.
Richard - burial is a lot more common where I am from. One, no crematoria nearby, two, land is cheap and plentiful, three, generally, stiffs get just the minimal embalming. In large cities, I dunno. No aboveground crypts - it ain’t no New Orleans, no need for those. Indoor mausoleums - well, there’s Lenin’s tomb at the most prestigious cemetery (Red Square in Moscow), and Orthodox church is afflicted with a weird case of necrophilia, parading their dried-up saints on a regular basis, but that’s about it, as far as I know…
Moscow is an old city. Old cemeteries were moved or built over. A cemetary doesn’t last once a few generations of who is buried there dies also.
So they kept moving farther and farther from the city. The ones that are on the edges of Moscow will move too, eventually.
Yes there are some large cemeteries in Moscow. The bigest and the most famous one is the “Vagankovskoe Kladbishe”. It has the graves of some very famous people - Actors, musicians (like “Visotsky” and “Talkov”), politicians and even killed mafia leaders. I think its near the metro “Barikadnaya”. If your are ever in moscow again, I would definatlly see it.
There was a great post a little while back with gravestones of mafia members.
That’s a funny joke and you all are missing the punch line.
Please explain it to us.
