cool. and i agree.. those soviet cartoons about ivanuchka durachok….. only emphesized the false fact of the stupidity of russian people which began in 1917 when they listened to some jews. (but who asked them anyway ;) )

    6. Texas1 says:

So are the people who do this in Russia really weird like those people who do it in the US? Are they kind of like the gothic crowd?

    7. John says:

Texas, I think this is an everyday small town life, not a festival.

    8. Frikken LARPers. How dare the [former] Soviet bloggers fool me with promises of cartoons, to only show me pictures of LARPers and historical reenactors! For shame baldy fag…

    12. Lera says:

hey, what does it have to do with cartoons?? its history (and cartoons are just another interpretation of it). But these people get inspired from the history, come on man… u have such a great site and u write this kind of thing. this costumes imitate real ones from the past. dont underestimate them by saying “the watch too much cartoons”. medieval russian history is pretty cool actually.

    13. Xpltivdletd says:

Cartoons to re-enactors? I might not have thought of it, but I never said I’m normal either. You have cartoons of medieval topics as the first illustration seems to be showing us?

I have bookmarked this page. I have some Internet friends who are into re-enacting. They might never have clicked on this one. Thanks for the pictures. Best regards.
