The Horse Monument in Voronezh

In Russian city Voronezh now one can see a strange monument of the horse. It’s a 3 ton steel horse with probably offensive for somebody rear view, though it stands in a very busy place so thousands of people see it daily and this horse eats rails.

The rail in the horse’ mouth appeared after the victory of soccer team CSKA Moscow (known as “horses”) over the Locomotiv Moscow (a team of Russian Railways) 2-1 on July 22 2007.
It’s testicles still aren’t as big as the Wall St. Bull in New York… it was quite funny to see the tourist families licking the bulls testicles… (I’m not joking…)

Bronze stallion, Yaryzh byname, welcomes travelers at the entrance to Voronezh. The monument symbolizes confrontation of nature and civilization. And it wins. The Horse is mighty and well-built. It weighs three tons and its three and a half meters high.
The local sculptors from Voronezh the Dickunov-Packs have created this monument. They are already famous for the other monuments to animals. The horse holds a piece of trail in its mouth.
Voronezh celebrated Yaryzh’s Bithday brightly. Nineteen doves were let go to the sky and fireworks were set off. The Horse has already become a popular sight for newly wedded couples.
