Another Tank from the Lake

Yet another tank was recently extracted from one of the lakes near St. Petersburg. There are plenty of tanks left since WW2, each year a few of them are being pulled out by different enthusiasts. This one is particular by it’s model “BT” which was translated as “Quick Moving Tank”. It had very narrow tracks so it had to move only on good roads, and the tracks could be completely removed so that it could roll on the rubber coated inner wheels on the good surfaces when army had to relocate quickly and there were good roads available.

You fucking loser. Get a life. You sit in front of your computer and refresh english russia every five seconds just so you can make the first post in my name. Fucking pathetic. You are low life scum who isn’t even worthy enough of being pissed on. EliseiZorine, I know its you, I can tell by how you write (or at least try). You lost an argument, get over it, no need to resort to childish name stealing. Unlike you, I have a life, I only look at this site in my down time at work, you are a true troll. If I ever saw you in real life, I would fuck you up, but you probably never leave your computer. You are a piece of shit. Fuck You. Kill Yourself. Die.
What happened to Boris’s comment?
Why did it get erased?
Freedom of speach
This fucking site is invested with commies & kikes so fuck you all.
“invested”?
I suggest you install a filter between your small brain and your fat fingers. Idiot.
nice recovery!
will they bring it back to live?
Of course its a tank. Looks like a BT-7 light tank, maybe BT-5. Hard to say, I am not an expert. Good inter-war tank introduced in 1935. Christie suspension, excellent mobility and decent firepower, lacking in armor. Design led to the T-34.
NO NO NO NO NO …… NNNO; design of this tank did NOT lead to T-34; a Chech Shkoda produced armored vehicle/prototype lead to design of T-34;
Don’t think so, EZ.

About Me section:
Comp Sci student && hopefully one day a programmer;
Ha! “Hopefully one day a programmer”, I’ve been programming since I was 12, and even then I was better then you’ll ever be. I knew more about computers by age 16 then you will ever learn in your however many years of school. I’ve been working as a computer scientist since 18, right out of high school, and I never even graduated. And me and you are the same age, but at least I act it.
Also this,

Set your wirleless card on your laptop to static IP of 192.168.1.102, instead of dynamic.
Spilled the beans.
Another computer tip for you…. don’t use easily identifiable names on the internet, or you could be made a fool of just like you were.
And stop using those fucking semicolons “;”, they are a dead giveaway.
Last one, I’m done wasting my time one.
http://www.flixster.com/user/elisei
hmm, that one is not me;
and fuck off buddy, i didnt use you nick to comment; i dont know what the fuck your problem is with me; dont like semicolons? well its a nasty habit that ive developed after scripting for years; unlike some i dont threaten to fuck people up if i see them;
Bullshit, you’ve been using my name to comment, the semicolons give it away. Look back in the past several posts, every post by D with a semicolon is you, I dont use semicolons and neither does anyone else. So fuck you too.
And thats how I feel, you mess with me, and I will fuck you up. Dont be scared though, I’m not coming to look for you, you arent worth it.
you win; why are you a communist though, no one in the family got killed? or what?
Who said I was a communist? I’m all for freedom and democracy, but also stabilization. I just don’t think Russia should have dissolved communism so abrubtly, it would have created a lot less turmoil if it was done right.
you should both exchange pics of your doodles… just to see whose got the larger one
You like pictures of doodles, dont you.
no, i dont, so please dont send me one
I imagine they are rather rare, as production stopped well before the end of the war.
BT-7s were almost all destroyed in 1941, suffering from poor maintenance and crew training.
Nice. One day I will own my own russian tank or ba-64
in my opinion, ba-64 has the perfect body shape for a military light vehicle; i saw one for sale on http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk for 4000 pounds but it might not be there now;
Looks more like BT-5.
Just check this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BT-7
is russia full of tank? dangerous…
T-34
number built: about 84,070.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-34
T-55
Over 95,000 were produced. the most-produced tank in history.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-55
yes. russia is full of tanks.
is your tank full? dangerous…
D, since you know a thing or two, would you be so kind & explain briefly how to use method callbacks in C++, but without templates. I am trying to rewrite some C code in C++ and i’m wrapping some glut functions into a class, but stuff like glutDisplayFunc(…) needs a callback parameter to register OpenGL context drawing method or something like that:
In C its like this : glutDisplayFunc(&DrawGLScene));
but in C++ i got glutDisplayFunc(&glwin->DrawGLScene));
and that does not compile. people are telling me to create a method pointer but with templates it is such a mess.
sorry, off the topic
I haven’t written C++ code for years, sorry cant help you out there. But just curious, what compiler are you using and whats the error it spits out?
i am using gcc 4.something and the error is long and full of examples; dont remember its precise content (@ work right now) but it was something like: C++ ISO does not allow referencing of inner methods(and alot of other spooky stuff, its actually in netbeans);
no worries though; i found nice and cheap solution: apperantly there is GLUT rewritten for C++ accomodation and its called GLUI - very neet and simple environment with OpenGL extentions; anyway, thanks;
and if anyone feels like flying a Mig21 or riding t-34-85, go to http://www.tankride.com/tankrides.html; i think you can book a tank ride by calling theese guys; and you also get to shoot live ammo of different caliber, as well s t-34 gun; well its all on the website;
but hey its a great fine. i own a T-34,T-72,and a T-35. and i just found a puma tank out of a lake in germany so it awaits its turn to be restored
