Thats a little different than I see it. Russian really is an ethnic race. When they do a census on a country (chechnya for example) less than 5% are ethnic russian, and over 85% are ethnic chechens, what makes you think this country should belong to Russia?

I don’t know much about the situation, so I can’t really speak on it.
But to me, Chechens aren’t really Russian, they’re more Persian, like Azerbejan, Kazachstan, and Georgia. And theres something about persians that tells me not to fuck with them, plus there are so many different states with funny names, its hard to keep track.
Ukranians are more Russian, so leave the Chechens alone and lets take back Ukraine and Belarus.
Regarding the race issue, I think race has nothing to do with being russian. For example, why should’n black people who were born in Russia call hemselves Russian?
