Strange Russian Strawberry
Actually, the seeds on a strawberry are the fruit. What we eat is a false-fruit (pseudocarp). Yes, the seeds appear to have germinated.
Russian Man
Russian professionals like doctors and policemen? Since when is a cop a white collar job … even in the good ole’ US of A?
It is pretty sad to see this old guy looking so worn out by life and being quite undignified. Dignity is generally a more important concept to Russians than to Americans (for sure) or even most Europeans.

But then again, at least this didn’t show a Russian version of “Bum Fights”.
Tough Dancing
Isn’t that Vitas singing? My wife says she heard some story or rumor that he has “gills” or holes in his neck. I guess there are many conspiracy theories about his very high voice, including computer enhancement or lip-synching.
I guess Russians aren’t too familiar with Steve Perry or Geddy Lee.
Soviet Times 2
Wouldn’t waste a piece of bread? My wife, Katja, still will not waste or throw away even a piece of old stale bread! Better to toast it and make croutons, and if that doesn’t work, save it to feed to birds!
More Soviet Stuff
The bag, called “Avoska” was named such from the word avos’, Russian for “Perhaps”. Everyone carried one folded in, just in case they found something they could buy, and carry it home.
