Pripyat stays as reminder to us all how can life change in just a mere seconds. Now 2600 square miles are deserted, no people – this is bigger than Luxemburg. Villages, and other places that won’t able people live for around 1,000 years.

    In the last picture we can see the nuclear power plant that went critical and killed the city. It’ll be there for maybe thousands of years as a reminder that playing with atomic fuel is potentially dangerous in the extreme.
    A few babushkas do live in the exclusion zone. A few reporters have visited them but were fearful and refused to drink a cup of tea that the old women offered them.
