    I love helicopters and thankfully Igor Sikorsky was very determined. I can never forget the hat he wore with the blades spinning above his head.

    Soviet copy of Sikorsky H-19…

      I guess you meant “inspired by the H-19″, since the Mi-4 is bigger, has about twice the payload mass capability, will carry 16 troops vs the 10 of the H-19 and it has twice the installed power. It also has a different internal structure. What it borrows from the H-19 is the general aircraft layout and configuration, which is a long way from being a “copy”.

    Are we sure this is the last Mi-4 in the Former Soviet Union? I see a few pics of extant models on Wikipedia, for starters.
