Gold Bars Hidden in Paint Bucket Seized on the Border

The smugglers got caught in Lvov, Ukraine when they tried to transport gold bars hidden in the can of paint. This is how they got caught:

They really forgot that custom services have the metal detector scanners that show metal objects even if they are hidden in the paint and not visible. When the customs workers so this image they of course wanted to open this bucket:


And this is what they found.

Different sized gold bars, 999 pure.

Now the gold is seized.

    Next time put a thick piece of round metal in the can to cover/hide the gold bars.

      Douglas, it made me a bit sus in the first place, who transports tins of paint over the border?

        Importers of building supplies? Just a guess James

          True. I just didn’t think Ukraine would go to lengths of checking a whole container of paint tins, only if something was out of place. I suppose they could have extra precautions these days because of stolen military items being exported as well.
