People of Brest Save Family of Swans from Oil Spill on the Lake [photos]

Local people and animal rights caring people tried to save family of swans got dirty in oil and diesel fuel someone spill into lake. The locals say someone poured used oil, fuels and more into rainfall drain and it landed into lake.

There were two grown-up swans, five little swannies and all were washed by hand.lebedi_02 lebedi_03 lebedi_04 lebedi_05

 

One “swanny” died as result.

    Glad people knew what to do, not good who ever tipped used oil into the water ways. Used motor oil has many, many uses, often which the person with the motor oil can use it for. Good trick is to store it in 20ltr frying oil drums until you use it. I use mine for hardening (quenching ) steel after its been heat treated, the high carbon content of the oil makes it ideal for this. and I know it has been used to drip feed fires (for heating). Putting it into nature or water ways, is very bad.
