Well it did but not with hostile intentions. Since today is a holiday, 100th anniversary of the Red Army, Russian army brought a big deal of tanks, trucks etc to Invangorod… for display for the local people. Ivangorod is located right on the Estonia and European Union border. Here how it looked.

Thousands of people came to watch. Many came from Narva town which is in Estonia (and in European Union) just by crossing a bridge across the river which divides two countries.

They say that they even want to make a joint show with NATO somewhere in the future.

I am sure Russian neighbors are thrilled about tanks and other hardware right next to their border. Russians should not complain when NATO sends its tanks to right next to their border.

For a display, this is kind of… odd.

A lot of the tracked gear is obviously repaired and rust is badly hidden with a layer of paint.

    Much is unpainted.

Applique or ablative armor is a sign of outdated gear, overworked drives, and poor mileage.

A surprising amount of ‘non-standard’ gear. Find two pair of ‘issue’ gloves in this set.

    Pretty girls, though. Really.

the guy sitting on the old AA gun looks like something from WWII, perhaps that goes along with T34s on the display. where are T-14 Armatas?

That is celebration of 100 years of the Red Army. Putin preserved all the Soviet times holidays.
