Our country was always famous for the big size and unique cold climate. And to explore it all just brave people were not enough. Those brave people need special vehicles. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that most unique and interesting all-terrain vehicles were built in USSR. They don’t afraid Siberian tundra, swamps etc. Here is a collection of some of them.

1. GT-S / GAZ-47

In 1951 Gorky Auto Zavod (factory) got an order to construct vehicle that can go on swamps and snow. In just a three months they came out with this thing.

No matter it had a weak 74 horse power engine it could carry 1 ton of payload. It became a real work horse in Siberia and Arctics. Some of those were even brought to Antarctics.

2. URAL-5920

At the end of 1960s Soviet engineers started to construct a truck that can go anywhere. They came with this tracked truck.
