But as a source of parts for restorers, they’re priceless. There have been clubs in the U.S. that shipped derelict locomotives from overseas and restored them. They aren’t worth much as a rusty carcass, but they can be made beautiful and functional again, if someone can spend the time and money (it’s not a cheap hobby).
