Posted on October 25, 2017 by tim

Kalashnikov company, the one that makes AKs, started making electric bikes. They have been already ordered by Russian Army and Moscow police. Till next year fifty or more electric police bikes gonna ride Moscow streets.

These are not city-only bikes, they are supposed to go off-road when needed.

They are equipped with 21-hp electric motor.

It can go 100-150 km on one charge which is supposed to be enough for one day use.

These look awesome, I have been talking electric bikes with a couple of friends, but these off road bikes look pretty cool. now what they need is a portable solar recharger so you can stay out in the field longer. (I am in Australia, we have a lot of sun).

these were made specifically for Military / Police as they are 2WD. No public cost is known now.

2WD? Really? I only see one chain going to the back wheel and no motor at the front wheel… where did you see that??? I really don’t think so…
