Neglected Animals Starving to Death in Russian Zoo

Posted on June 21, 2017 by tim

This private zoo was founded in 2004 in Novoshaktinsk, Russia. In 2016 the owner went bankrupt and since then the animals are abandoned right in the cages in horrible conditions. Nobody except some locals give them foods to eat.

Some of the cages are already empty – animals either died or escaped or were stolen and removed to private property yards.

However many animals are still here.

Currently some list of animals that still are here: deers, racoons, bears, goats, birds and more.

Nearest city zoo wanted to take the animals but they can’t violate the property rights. And the entrepreneur, zoo owner, doesn’t want to give away animals for free.

So locals sometimes feed the animals.

However nobody cleaned the cages for a few months already. There is a horrible stink, and only thanks to a few locals who sometimes bring foods the animals still alive.

The government should take the animals from the owner. Is there Any petition or campaign to rescue the poor animals?

how about sending the Health inspection in there and confiscating the property on the grounds of it being completely neglected and contaminated? Fine the owner and he will give up everything before some disease breaks out.
