In 1991 an English man, a preacher, visited new country – Russian Federation to teach the Bible to the regular Russians. Here is a police man (militia man) reading his first ever Bible gifted by this Englishman. Also he made some photos and here they are:

Before 1990s, the Bible was banned in Russia, you couldn’t get it, you probably couldn’t read it – maybe only in libraries.

Street sellers were everywhere around Russian cities.

Abandoned site.

Memory stand – the place where Russians fighting for freedom were killed.

Later a monument would be built here.

Tankists near Russian government building.

Soldiers got their free bibles too.

Spreading the poison of christinsanity. Awful. Why was that allowed? Why was he not arrested and deported?

  2. Douglas says:

Banning religious books from the Russian people did not work. It was like banning food.
