Jets in the Air Training: Unique Photos of SU-30SM Refuelling in the Air

Posted on February 16, 2017 by tim

Alexander went to the airforce base to see the training of SU-30SM and SU-30M2 jets before they depart to China for the participation in some air force contest there. The training included fighting between two jets and refuelling in skies. Alexandr got lucky. He didn’t just take photos of the plane from the ground. He was allowed to climb the cabin and fly with the pilots to the skies and then take photos of the refuelling process there. Let’s see some cool photos Alexandr took.

Planes were already ready for the training flights.

Planes have insignia of Russian Air Force.

And airfield dog roams freely.

Those are IL-78 refuelling planes that participate in the trainings too. Ten minutes later all those planes going to the air.

Pilots walk to the planes.

And inspect the machines before the flight.

Those are new Russian air force helmets.

I have this incompressible feeling that we are looking at a bayonet charge when the rest of the world has moved on to smart weapons, HKVW, and such.

    It’s a fine, fine, museum-quality collection.

But, they’re dead in the air against a first-rate force.

I have this totally comprehensible feeling that you have literally no idea what you are talking about or you wouldn’t have said “incompressible”…..PMSL
