Cemetery of the old tanks: biggest dump site in Russia

Central Museum of armored vehicles, Kubinka. Blogger goes there and now we have an awesome report!

Some time ago I had a chance to visit a cool dump of abandoned tanks twice.

For the first time, even though I had a camera with me, I was so lazy for some reason that I didn’t get it out of the bag and made all photos of tanks with mobile and my companions didn’t want to climb on tanks.

But on the second time I came back with a company that wanted to climb on them and make a lot of photos.

And here I faced a serious problem – the sun was shining from the bust side!

Going out there and making photos of these machines having a feeling that you can be busted seemed unsafe, we had to take pictures against the bright light …

Processing, of course, was able to get rid of a range of light and shadow and make something pretty, but it was very acid!

We first came to the dump just from the bust side – because we just walked past and decided that nothing prevents us to go here.

The range of tanks is really wide – but it is clear that someone always drives  near them …

The first exhibit that was interesting to me was such a ship-tank!

Thanks for the posting, very interesting to see. I have never seen any thing like that.

  3. James S says:

Probably “fish-eye” due to no space between tanks to take narrower pictures.

Human stupidity,a lot of resources wasted.Metal,work,etc.,blow in the dust and wind.A lot of money rusted.Make schools and hospitals, not death metal.
