    amazing how quickly the trees take root and wipe out the signs of civilization. What did they do there, why was the place abandoned?

      Kizel coal deposit was discovered in 1721. Coal mine quickly exhausted people due to lack of work began to leave. In the period from 1990 to 1994, all mine Kizel coal basin were closed. In general, to do in the city there was nothing, no jobs here. In addition, poor environment, so people are left out of this small town, everyone who could.

    Looks like some roofs were burnt down and others were scavenged for materials; same as the windows. Nature doesn’t do that much damage in 25 years, even in Russia.

      Many of these houses were built during the WW II, the walls are made of slag concrete, for which only a few years completely destroyed, washed away from water. Residents moved and the roof leaked. Construction of slag concrete crumble like sand. Well preserved houses on photo made from brick, concrete and with better roof
