No Respect for an American Flag

Some disturbing trend you can see in Russian cities lately. People treat American flag with total lack of respect. American flags can be seen stumped, used as door mats, used as mops for floor sweeping, being dragged after cars etc etc. Here is a few examples of such behavior:

Hundreds of dealers appeared offering quote: “Door mats with Obama-monkey, USA flag etc”.

Some videos circulate how people in Army wash floors with a USA flag instead of the mop:

  1. Ed Brown says:

When you watch these photos, bear in mind America didn’t do any harm to Russian people. Actually America saved Russians several times. For example, Americans saved Russians from starvation in 20s after Bolshevik revolution (see “American Relief Admninistration”). Later Americans saved many Russians from starvation and possibly from defeat during WW2 (Lend Lease). Without American help Russian losses in the WW2 could be much higher (possibly several millions more Russian soldiers and civilians would have died without American food, gasoline, steam locomotives, automobiles etc).

Americans never invaded Russia, never bombed Russian cities, never annexed any Russian territory.

Amazing ingratitude and irrationality. I think this behavior can be explained by envy and resentment. Subconsciously Russians understand that they are inferior to Amerians, that Americans are better in all respects.

    • Bob says:

Ed, you made some good points but your Ukrainian wife has washed your brain.

Take the log out of your eye and realize that the reason Russians are furious at the US (GOVERNMENT) is that the USG (NOT the AMERICAN PEOPLE) is trying to bring down Russia.

      A bit of perspective please.

      • Ed Brown says:

American government is not trying “bring down Russia” at this moment,
it is trying to bring down Canada and Mexico first. After they finish these neighbor countries they will try to bring down Pakistan and Indonesia. Russia is number five in their list. Do I have enough perspective?

        it is silly

        • Pom2Ter says:

Oh come on, that’s such a load of bullshit… The US is trying to bring down Canada first… Like they are going to do that… What the fuck are you smoking???

    • aDboy says:

Ed, I hear you. But, a lot of Russians and Ukrainians think that American alphabet agencies are behind the uprising in Ukraine, just as America had instigate the situation in Georgia.
Also, there is a belief that the Arab Spring and especially what is going on in Syria was engineered by America.
Regardless, I think we all know that if the U.S. didn’t have Turkey’s back, there would be no way possible that the Turks would have even had the courage to think to shoot down and kill a Russian fighter pilot

      • Ed Brown says:

aDboy, Not American, but Russian “alphabet agencies” sent terrorists (like Strelkov or Boroday) to kill people in Ukraine, Russia annexed Ukrainian territory, not the US. It is the obvious fact.

Uprisings happen from time to time in different countries, it is a normal historical process. There is not a single evidence that the US was behind any of the uprisings in the Arab world, in Ukraine or in Georgia. It is true that Americans applauded democratic revolutions in the Ukraine and in Northern Africa, but it does not mean that they made them.

On the other hand, it is obvious to everybody that Russians used temporary weakness of the Ukrainian state and dastardly attacked Ukraine. Shame on Russians. This treachery of Russia will be remembered by all its neighbors forever. Nobody would trust Russia again.

    • Ball Breaker says:

Nice change “Ed”. Probably now you know what happens when you liea and disrespect millions of people in every warmongering post of yours. It’s called “reciprocity”. This is exactly what you wanted. Or not?
      Now, cry some more.

    • Cover me, Porkins! says:

-“America didn’t do any harm to Russian people”. LOL

“Ed”, please Google “Siberian Intervention”, or keep showing your ignorance and self-pandering fanrtasies.

RESPECT, is a Two Way Avenue. You can google that word, too.

      • Ed Brown says:

May be you read yourself about Siberian invasion first.
You will learn in what circumstances it happened what tasks it
        pursued and who it supported.
America tried to save Russia against Bolshevicks, but failed.
As a result millions of Russians were killed by Communists.
Don’t try to pretend to be smart, you are not.

        • Cover me, Porkins! says:

….”America tried to save Russia against Bolshevicks…”, LOL. No, “Ed”. The US tried to save itself from Commies, that’s all. That’s what the forthcoming “Red Scare” was all about.

Commies are long gone, but your delusional self- pandering and warmongering hate against millions of people, continue. Go ahead, keep it going. Why so upset? This is a small sample of what you have earned. If now you’re “surprised”, you’re living in La La Land.

    • ho fo sho says:

It’s Russian nature to not own up & blame others for their shortcomings.

When things get tough in Russia, find something other than Russia itself that’s the cause.

Usually it involves some form of imaginary insidious American plot.

      • Double Mirror says:

It’s American nature to not own up & blame others for their shortcomings (and obvious reprisals against them).

When things get tough in the US, find something other than America itself that’s the cause.

Usually it involves some form of imaginary insidious Russian, Chinese, Jewish or even Mexican plot.

      • Asmodeus says:

        @”ho fo sho”
Most of these pics are from Ukraine, the new US “ally”. Now please keep telling us more about “some forms of imaginary insidious plots”.

        • ho fo sho says:

Sorry, should have been more specific to include Butt-hurt ethnic Russian Ukrainians

          • Ball Breaker says:

It would be nice to ask them what do they want, instead of wishing death to all of them, from your comfortable chair.
Thanks for confirming your hypocrite “values” in every post.

            • ho fo sho says:

See the recent Chechnya article….hypocrite much?

              • Ball Breaker says:

                @”ho fo sho”
So, Islamic Fanatic Chechens are “rebels” when they kill children in Russia… but (for you), they suddenly turn to Savage Terrorists when the kill and dismemeber people in Boston, right? Please tell us more about your (deadly) and schyzoid double standards.

You just confirmed (again) your fervent sadist hate against millions, little hypocrite. And your truly dark “values”.
Please do it again, it’s very revealing.

                • ho fo sho says:

So savages that shoot over-flying passenger planes out of the sky are freedom fighters to you? On second thought, don’t bother because I really don’t care what you have to say on the matter

For all your bluster about dropping nukes you really do come across as the authority on the subject of hate and war mongering.

You win, you’re the hero of the internet. Fight the good fight my obtuse little friend.

                  • Ball Breaker says:

                    @ho fo sho
…”So savages that shoot over-flying passenger planes out of the sky are freedom fighters ….”. Huh? Your ISIS Head Cutting Terrorists claimed responsibility for shooting down a civilian plane months ago. If you “guess” they are “freedom fighters”, that confirms your deadly double standards. Again…

This means your self-serving effort to spread hate and death against millions here, failed. Again…

..”I really don’t care what you have to say…”. LOLZ

Please keep it going. I love your warmongering “values”.

                  • Wahhabi Hamid, "The Moderate" says:

                    Dear Brother “ho fo sho”,
                    YES!!!
Well said, brother. The Islamic Brotherhood stands by your struggle against these infidels!! Down with ALL the infidels!

                    Allahu WackBaaaAAAARRRRrrrr!!!!

    • Human Citizen says:

Americans are better in which way? Are you blind? Many leaders of the USSR saved us from a nuclear war, while people in Washington was almost launching nuclear missiles.
They (Americans) are the most violent people in the world with no soul, no mercy, only governed by the power and money.
You have to see the whole picture and not only things that you heard. The Soviet Revolution was a deep process, THEY WON the second war because of their determination and the efforts by that generation back then. They also have their own farm systems but that is out of context.
USA (and Americans) are in debt with humanity… sooner or later the rest of the world will show you the kindness that they (Americans) lacked these centuries.
BTW, I’m not russian… would love to visit their country someday.

    • Slaven says:

Russia saved US against Britain back in 18th century. Learn your history.

    • alf.arnold says:

And all the bands played Yanky Doodle Dandy . you bloody wanker, Yes America helped the US during and after the war but at what cost, The US has never ever done something for nothing be it Dollars favors or just vacant promises.
And the only god the US knows has a $ sign on it.As for being better my god man just look around you, Ha Ha Ha.

  2. Tadmar says:

It is the same for any society. The proles must be given something to hate.

    • Ball Breaker says:

Tht’s exactly what paranoid American warmongers achieved. You should be proud. Now you have a reason to be afraid.
      Congrats!

      • Tadmar says:

I believe that my name indicates that I am unlikely to be of American origin. Back to school with you, prole!

        • Ball Breaker says:

I believe “prole”, that whatever you are (or your name) are irrelevant. If you, “prole”, were given something to hate, you should now be happy about it. Maybe that’s exctly why you’re here.

          Enjoy!

        • Presidente Peña says:

Prole, gracias por tu apoyo. Continuaremos fabricando –y enviándoles- millones de proles hambreados a los Gringos, porque ellos sí dizque los “necesitan”. ¡¡Jajajaj!!
          Otro compromiso, ¡cumplido!!

  3. Tutan Camon says:

    Big big idiots.

  4. DougW says:

Besides, the flags are probably made in China. :)
Always wondered why people think this will upset Americans.

  5. Douglas Huntzinger says:

No matter what, this is not a good idea.

  6. bjornskis says:

really most of us do not like our president big deal being used as a door mat.

You wont see a Russian flags or pretty much any foreign flags being stepped on here except for liberal nut heads who hate our country doing it here. It’s a free country,

    • Douglas says:

The USA is not a free country. Operation Mockingbird ended that many years ago.

    • Ed Brown says:

Don’t use the word “liberals” – is not a very good idea on this web site.
In Russia “liberals” are those who are against Putin’s dictatorship and who want democratic and pro-western Russia.
In the US “liberals” are various socialists, anti-globalists and other ultra-left “useful idiots”.

      • Cover me, Porkins! says:

—“in Russia “liberals” are those who are against Putin’s dictatorship and who want democratic and ….”. LOL. Please “Ed”, let us know why (acording to you) Russia is a “dictarorship” and Russians aren’t free.

You see? Your Warmongering Fantasies were succesful. Now some Russians do hate you. Don’t be upset. You should be proud.

    • Bob says:

Seriously, how is the USA more free than Russia?

The USSR is gone last time I checked.

THE US GOVERNMENT is trying to bring Russia down – that’s what Russians are angry about.

      • ho fo sho says:

Laughable….Russia is crumbling from the inside out. No need for Western intervention they are doing fine on their own.

        • Ball Breaker says:

          @”ho fo sho”
Your Barack and paranoid Petangon don’t agree with your “opinion”. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be pushing you (and your Congress) to get way more indebted to spend even more in your already huge Military Budget.

Seems that money matters are not your strong suit.

          • ho fo sho says:

Russia and it’s mighty GDP comes in 9th or 10th depending on which international source you care to check (consistently behind Italy, Brazil and India)

Go back to your hovel Ivan..

            • Ball Breaker says:

…–“Russia and it’s mighty GDP comes in 9th or 10th ….” Enough to nuke your country to oblivion in minutes… and spending 10 times less than the US in its military.

More than enough to keep your paranoid hatred and panic alive.
–“Go back to your hovel…”. LOL.

              • ho co sho says:

No paranoia and no hatred. Just stating facts. Check them if you really doubt it. You really need to work on your reading comprehension.

                • Ball Breaker says:

                  @”ho fo sho”
…” Just stating facts…”. Huh? More than enough to keep your warmogering panic alive. That’s the only thing you’re confirming here. Please keep it going!

..”You really need to work on your reading…”. LOLZ

              • Pom2Ter says:

Enough with all that already… I’m not Russian or American but theres no war between those countries and the cold war has been over for 25 years so deal with it… Why should we care about the fact Russia can nuke the US in minutes? You ever heard of mutually assured destruction? Russia would be mad to nuke the US… It would mean that the US would retaliate against Russia before it’s missiles even reach continental US, probably hit Russia before it hit the US since the US has missiles in Turkey and soon in Romania… and since my country is a NATO member (France) with nukes it would probably launch on Russia as well since we would all die from the amount of nukes launched by Russia, the US and other NATO members… Use your head to think before you talk about stuff you don’t understand… Learn about Nuclear Deterrence since you talk about Russia spending 10 times less than the US in it’s military, you’ll look less stupid if you understand the principles of nuclear strategies, MAD and the nuclear deterrence…

                • Ball Breaker says:

                  @”Pom2Ter”
…”Why should we care about the fact Russia can nuke the US in minutes?…”. Huh? Russians really don’t care; they are too busy living their lives… but you know, the usual Warmongering, lazy ass American kids here, seem to care a lot about it. Or they just simply have a weird need to hate and disrespect a lot of people.

…”Russia would be mad to nuke the US…”. All Russian Presidents agreed -and have said the same thing in public many times- since the Cold War ended. I haven’t heard a US President say such a thing. At least, not in this Century.

…”Learn about Nuclear Deterrence…”. LOLZ. Ask the Russians if you want to know something about that. As far as I know, the US is the only country which has used Nuclear Weapons against Cities full of Civilians.

…”Russia spending 10 times less than the US…”. That’s true, and without debts… That’s more than enough to keep these lazy ass, American warmongers in what it semms to be a permanent state of panic, outspending the whole world in their Military –and getting hopelessly indebted. Or perhaps, they just need to despise and hate a lot of “other” people. Who knows?

So, instead of fearmongering, emotional threats and rants, you and your “ho fo sho” friend should try to look for the word ‘RESPECT’ in a dictionary. It avoids “misunderstandings”, wars and countless civilian deaths.

PS – …I jut wonder… why is so difficult to understand that word for so many of you? Well, that’s beyond me. Just don’t get “surprised” if the “others” finally get fed up and respond in the same way. Or worse.

                  • Pom2Ter says:

To Ball Breaker, when you say

“All Russian Presidents agreed -and have said the same thing in public many times- since the Cold War ended. I haven’t heard a US President say such a thing. At least, not in this Century.”

Well I sure hope so since Russia had 1 president and 1 puppet, Putin and Medvedev with Putin as the puppeteer since the beginning of the 21st century… didn’t give it a lot of options on what comments could be made on the subjects…

“LOLZ. Ask the Russians if you want to know something about that. As far as I know, the US is the only country which has used Nuclear Weapons against Cities full of Civilians.”

You know that for nuclear deterrence to exist you must have 2 nations with nuclear weapons right? When the US nuked Japan it was the only country with nuclear weapons so nuclear deterrence didn’t exist at that time… You don’t really understand the concept from what I can see…

“That’s true, and without debts… That’s more than enough to keep these lazy ass, American warmongers in what it semms to be a permanent state of panic, outspending the whole world in their Military –and getting hopelessly indebted. Or perhaps, they just need to despise and hate a lot of “other” people. Who knows?”

You seriously think both Russian and Americans don’t have a national debt? You are really dumb if you think so. The Russian national debt might be less than the American one, seriously I don’t care about both I’m french, the Russian national debt is 144858226374$ as we speak and since the military spending of Russia are a percentage of its GDP a percentage of this debt is in its military spendings…

Seriously, why are you so defensive and replying with some kind of agressive attitude when you just say things that are nonsense? Just take some time to think and double check what you want to say before you reply…

                    • Ball Breaker says:

                      @”Pom2Ter”,
-“Well I sure hope so since Russia had 1 president and 1 puppet….”. Since the Cold War ended (at least, for the Russians), also Yeltsin said publicly that nuking the US would be “crazy” and stupid. Again, I haven’t heard US presidents say a similar thing about nuclear attacks and threats for 25 years. Their actions speak otherwise. Don’t like that contradicion? That’s not my problem.

-…”When the US nuked Japan it was the only country with nuclear wepons”. That makes their Deterrence record and rationale even worse… Do they need a super “enemy” to behave themselves? It’s easy to forget almost 70 years of proven, true Deterrence…. So, the US has been the only country nuking cities full of civilians. Sorry, you couldn’t change that.

-…”you seriously think both Russian and Americans don’t have a national debt?…” Huh? I never said that. Those are only your words, not mine. So, now do you need to fantasize things to write something here?

–Russian debt is less than 12% of its GDP ((2014, IMF) and spends 10 times less than the US. Despite (foreign) “sanctions”, Russia is well in black numbers, even if you don’t like it and get a bit more emotional and excited. I wonder why…

-The (growing) US Military Budget outspends the World’s most powerful nations Military spendings put together. At the same time, the US owes 104% of its GDP and needs to borrow between $500 Billion to One Trillion (every year), making their debt unpayable –and even more huge for the time being…
They simply don’t have the money to cover all those gigantic Miltary Expenses –every year. I guess you should care more about this clear warmongering disorder, instead of promoting more amusing (and expensive) paranoia against… the Russians(?). LOL.
–(By the way, France owes 127% of its GDP!).

So, why so angry and scared? Yes, the Russians can protect their territorial integrity, without bankrupting themnselves. And also, can turn the US into a radioactive pile of ash in minutes. That doesn’t mean they ‘want’ to do that. Can’t say the same about the US and NATO’s wild spending Leaderships –and all the excited warmogering kids in this site.

–“..why are you so defensive and replying with some kind of agressive attitude…”. really? It’s fun to see how you get more emotional and incoherent in every reply. It seems that is just too hard for you and many other hate-spreading kids to simply RESPECT other countries… and to face your own self made problems, much more threatening than whatever the modern Russians happen to be doing in the mornings.

—“Just take some time to think and double check what you want to say …” LOLZ

As said, instead of paranoid threats, nervous mockery and hate, you better need to look for the word RESPECT in a Dictionary. It’s not so hard to find, go ahead… It saves lives, avoids wars, and can actually help your NATO’s expensive military imbalanced absurdities.

Take a deep breath…. and read again slowly and carefully, if you have some other excited “doubts”.
                      =)

                      @ho fo sho
Probably that’s what you do when your head gets empty… which is rather freqnently.

                    • Pom2Ter says:

                      @ Ball Breaker…
-“Well I sure hope so since Russia had 1 president and 1 puppet….”. -Hey genius… You clearly said that century. If I remember correctly lets look at what you said just for fun.

“All Russian Presidents agreed -and have said the same thing in public many times- since the Cold War ended. I haven’t heard a US President say such a thing. At least, not in this Century.”

Yeltsin was out in 1999… which isn’t in this century… And he was clearly out for all his corruption and other illegal stuff that was “forgiven” to be polite by Putin but then again just ignore what I’m saying and just try to say things you want since you clearly must have the brain of a 12 years old to not be able to read english and make a rational connection of thoughts based on ideas you previously made in english on a website called “english”russia…

You really are ignoring what I’m saying when trying to make a point right? ”When the US nuked Japan it was the only country with nuclear wepons”. That makes their Deterrence record and rationale even worse… Their was no deterrence at that point… THEY WERE THE ONLY ONE WITH NUKES AT THAT TIME SO THE CONCEPT OF DETERRENCE DIDNT EXIST YET…

”you seriously think both Russian and Americans don’t have a national debt?…” Huh? I never said that. EXCUSE ME BUT YOU PREVIOUSLY SAID “…”Russia spending 10 times less than the US…”. That’s true, and without debts…” EXCUSE ME BUT WHAT THE HELL IS WITHOUT DEBT SUPPOSED TO MEAN IF NOT WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY BACK MONEY IT BORROWED?

–(By the way, France owes 127% of its GDP!).
Thank you for reminding me that. I was aware of that fact and thanks to a government I didn’t vote for we are currently in shit right now. Are you 12 years old? I talked about the US and Russia, not about France, nice way to change the subject…

So, why so angry and scared? Yes, the Russians can protect their territorial integrity, without bankrupting themnselves. -You seem to be the one who’s a kid that’s drunk and not able to read other peoples comments when he replies…

—“Just take some time to think and double check what you want to say …” LOLZ
Again please it would save us both time when I have to repeat and submit all the things I previously said.

Take a deep breath…. and read again slowly and carefully, if you have some other excited “doubts”.
                      =)
Seriously, you should stop drinking vodka and get your ideas together so you could answer in a rational way…

  7. SD says:

You do realize that most of those pictures are from Ukraine, right?

    • Ed Brown says:

No, they are not. These pictures are from “mother Russia”.
Russians suffer from inferiority complex – they lost “great and glorious USSR”.
Ukrainians don’t have these resentments. America in the eyes of most Ukrainians is a very well organized free and prosperous country, as good as Germany or France. Most Ukrainians hope that Ukraine in the future would be more like Europe or America.

      • Pom2Ter says:

Again what the fuck are you smoking??? I really want to know because I want to get some for a special occasion when I’ll get together with a couple of German friends my wife and I didn’t see for a long time… We are talking about politics and it usually end up with us laughing and ending up in nonsense at 4 AM…after half a dozen bottles of wine…

      • Cover me, Porkins! says:

…-“Russians suffer from inferiority complex ….”. Funny. So “Ed”, why are you so terribly scared about all of them?

…-“Most Ukrainians hope that Ukraine in the future…”. Really? Please let us know what do the East Ukrainians think. It would be interesting.

  8. Rabbi Goldstein says:

Here in America, we use Russian flag to blow our nose on.

  10. Arsenol says:

We do worse to your PutPut here in America. Just last night I got this

  11. Dave Riesz says:

“… Americans never invaded Russia …”

    Ahem: “Siberian Intervention”

The “western” powers were quite bent out of shape about the Bolshevik revolution and participated actively in the Russian Civil War. Including the USA.

And throughout the cold war, I’m sure Americans treated the USSR flag just as disrespectfully. We’re all human beings and we all behave childishly over symbols.

    • Cover me, Porkins! says:

Well said. No one can beat Americans and their self-pandering ignorance. This is what they get.

        • Oscar Goldman says:

…–“America tried to save Russia against …” Hahah!! More or less like the 300,000+ dead Iraqi Civilians left when the Americans tried to “save” them from the Ruthless Tyrant put in Baghdad –by the Americans themselves! ….Small wonder why some thankful people from the area began to kill people in San Bernardino, and even in Paris.

So, “Ed”, I love your own self-pandering delusions –full of hatred against millions of people. What would you write without it?

  12. ho fo sho says:

    losers

  13. Peter Thompson says:

The way the US flag is treated ……….. well ……….. what do you expect.
US people earn no respect, give no respect, and deserve none.

  14. Pom2Ter says:

    Good for the american flag…
I’m french and they get what they deserve… we get attacked by terrorists because we are in NATO supporting them… most of the population don’t even give a fuck about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or religion or the Americans…

  15. Amicus says:

It could almost be Iran, where people are told “America is the great Satan”. Stupidity.

    • The Reader says:

Iranians have good reasons to hate the US (and none of those have something to do with Religion). If the usual, warmongering American kids in this site were urging for new “enemies”, that’s exactly what they are getting.

  16. peter fawdon says:

What an excellent idea. I think there would be a very good market in American flag door mats !

  17. Paul Simon says:

There is no reason for Russians ti feel inferior. You have had inferior leadership, which has caused many of your problems. Most Americans have nothing against the Russian people. There are many Negative perceptions regarding Russian action in the Crimea and Georgia, but again, few Americans have any animosity towards Russians. Leaders change over here, and one can only hope for the best. The Worst disgrace is putting Obama’s picture on an American flag. He represents the worst in us.

    • Cover me, Porkins! says:

—“There is no reason for Russians ti feel inferior…”. LOL. They don’t (even if many paranoid, war loving American kids here want them to feel that way). Most Russians are very proud –with good reason- and don’t have or need any hatred against American people.

But some Russians do have “negative perceptions” against a warmongering US Government, which constantly needs to create and threaten new “enemies”… to justify the existence of a huge US Armed Force, and gigantic Military Budget. That’s been the story of the last 25 years, with or without your Obama.

  18. Jeremy says:

I’ve always wondered in the rest of the uncivilized world they must have an anti american store or a cart that sells everything american. Because they seem to have tons of american paraphernalia at the ready for a anti america protest. Which lately seems to be happening all the time, what russians don’t understand civilized countries don’t see any reason to burn a flag of another country or have massive parades showing all the big guns and military equipment they have. They cry and moan about their shortcomings and blame everything from global warming to the extinction of the dodo bird on the west. It’s trashy to disrespect any flag even if it’s one of your enemies but that’s what separates civilized countries and trashy countries.

    • Mr. Pinochet says:

Of course. For “Civilized Countries”, it’s better to provoke “Regime Change” and support ruthless, corrupted tyrants in all those “uncivilized” countries. Ah, so much ingratitude…

  19. Douglas says:

I am a citizen of USA and have a couple of Russian friends in Karelia republic. They are wonderful people. We respect each other and there is no animosity between us.

  20. SirAlfred says:

Both the US and Russia are economic competitors and have been since the Cold war, both run their countries as arms manufacturing and weapons suppliers, Russia promotes wars as do the US unfortunately the US is better in starting Wars, as of the year they have got off to a good start, in stirring up trouble in N/Korea, China, Turkey together with the Ruskeys, Turkey is the gateway of the Black Sea and Putin needs control of this gateway or the taking of Crimea and the pathway cut by Russian military thru Ukraine is a wast of time, as is their propaganda against China over their first military base to protect their interest as the worlds largest industrial country and their only route in and out for their goods and raw materials, It is not the US people its their Government and policies and this fixation they are the best, and this is why in the eyes of the world they are the most hated.

    • Asmodeus says:

The Cold War was over for all ex-Soviet countries (including Russia) 25 years ago, but not for the US Government, which has become more aggressive and has been spending even more in its already enormous Military.

The game is pretty different today. Just imagine today’s Russia supporting aggresively “Regime Change” in undemocratic, corrupted Mexico, or deploying troops in Cuba (which is still suffering a US Blockade) or in threatened Venezuela; calling up for “sanctions” against US control there, and at the same time, supplying new Russian Armaments or even regular troops to Anti-U.S. governments or “rebels” in those countries. Russia is not doing that.

But the US Government has kept doing exctly that around Russia since the Cold War ended. It seems it only ended for the Russians.

  21. AA says:

This post got the less comment ever by any American Idiots.

  22. igor says:

Putin has done the right thing by connecting Crimea to Russia . There lives a lot of Russian people, if Putin did not, there would be a lot of people were killed by Ukrainian nationalists . Just goes to the view that the US government , there would like to install air defense and would have an advantage over Russia , which is not very good for us . Since the majority of the inhabitants of the Crimea , a referendum , we have chosen what they want to be with Russia.
About US flag is very misleading , it makes a very small number of people who have not yet appeared mind. I live in St. Petersburg ( Russia ) , and all the time but have never seen someone so defiled the US flag . ( In current Internet )

Just want to note that Crimea belonged to Russia before and was given a gift Ukrainians , this decision was made by Nikita Khrushchev ( now he muddle ) …..
    Sincerely , Russia .

    • Poutine is a great...meal says:

Tell that to the brainwashed people who think that Ukraine is a paradise now that’s it’s European-Union-friendlier or the various neo-Nazis commenting here on ER.

  23. Akskl says:

State propaganda turned again most of the Russians into idiots.
Or maybe most of the Russians always were idiots? Favorite hero of the Russian folk tales is Ivan the Idiot.

    • Vynck says:

Hahah! Why so angry? If you love to threaten, despise and mock millions of persons, you should be prepared to receive the same treatment every once in a while.

  24. The Reader says:

Why so angry? As always, nasty bully kids cry like girls when they get a small taste of their own medicine. This is hilarious.

  25. JBDragon says:

A lot of clueless ungraceful people! Really, no class at all doing that. Something I’d have zero interest to do to a Russian flag. It never even crossed my mind. Of course I wouldn’t do it to any country, it’s just dumb!

  26. Ball Breaker says:

    @”Pom2Ter”,
Wow… You got really emotional this time. So, I’m glad you agreed with all my points. All stand. Now, we can confirm again all of them and discuss some more your off-topic and excited “spins”, no problem.

–”Why should we care about the fact Russia can nuke the US in minutes?…”. Huh? Well they sure can do that. That doesn’t mean they ‘want to’. Russians really don’t care; they are too busy living their lives… I can’t say the same about warmongering US and NATO, who keep overspending in a huge military, while getting hopelessly indebted. –You didn’t refute this, so I’m glad you agreed.

–…”Russia would be mad to nuke the US…”. All Russian Presidents have agreed -and have said the same thing in public many times- since the Cold War ended. I haven’t heard a US President say such a thing. At least, not in this Century. —So, that’s what I wrote, and I’m glad you agreed.
    My point still stands.

About your off-topic “spin”, many have the opinion that the US also had “one puppet and 1 president” in this Century. Cheney’s neocon puppet left a disaster in its Economy and in the Middle East with his illegal invasion, and Barack has spent 8 years to repair (some) damages. Ask the Iraqis… Both left a terrible mess in that area, which now is killing people in London, Paris and Brussels. We can discuss a lot more about these “fantastic” results. No problem for me.

You want to discuss Yeltsin? Why? No problem. He was terrible. We can also discuss Clinton and how he lied to a Grand Jury and to all his people. We can also discuss his wife! It will be fun!
    …But my point still stands.

    – “THEY WERE THE ONLY ONE WITH NUKES AT THAT TIME SO THE CONCEPT OF DETERRENCE DIDNT EXIST…” Nice record: They nuked two cities full of civilians. So, they need a Super “Enemy” to behave themselves. Yes? No?

Whatever may be your answer, the Soviet-Russian Deterrence worked fine. No other cities have been nuked ever since. That was the point, and I’m happy you also agreed.

-“EXCUSE ME BUT WHAT THE HELL IS WITHOUT DEBT SUPPOSED TO MEAN…”. I’m glad you asked (again). As noted, Russia is in Black Numbers. That’s what ir means. Don’t think so? Russia owes only 12% (or less) of its GDP and as you know now, it spends 10 times less than the US in its military. –I don’t know why you got amotional about this, but the point still stands.

The US owes 104% of its GDP (19 TRILLION) , requires to borrow an average of 500 Billion to One Trillion to get by, and France owes whopping 127% of its GDP! The US doesnt have the money to pay its gigantic Military Budget -every year. Don’t like that? That’s your problem (a big one), but you can’t refute this.

So, why so angry and scared about “the Russians”? Yes, the Russians can protect their territorial integrity, and they are very good at that. And without bankrupting themnselves and the entire world. You have bigger self-made problems than “the Russians”.

If you could only reply some emotional things about some drinks and some over excited, off topic “spins”, that’s not my problem. All my points stand.
Thanks for your confirmations. Please do it again!
    =)

    .

“-“Well I sure hope so since Russia had 1 president and 1 puppet….”. The US the same. It had Cheney’s neocon puppet, and Barack still can’t repair all the damage. Ask the iraqis.
Yeltsin? Yeah he was not the best ruler. So? . Clinton lied

    My poit iws that

  27. Oscar Goldman says:

…So,”Pom2Ter”, could you find the word RESPECT in a Dictionary? No? Is it too hard to understand for you? Well, that explains your current predicament.
    -LOL!

  28. Pawel Bien says:

I thought that the Russians are wiser nation. It’s sad.

    • Douglas says:

Pawel: The vast majority of Russians are good people and would never insult any flag….let alone the USA. The hooligans in these photos are ignorant dolts. All countries on the planet have them….even the USA. Sad but true. ;((

  29. Eli says:

This is a behavioral disorder as well as a fascist ignorance & insult. A person who has dignity is the one who respects even his/her enemy. If there is no respect, we cannot talk about any dignity and decency. Therefore, this kind stupidy is contiguous, and I hope that people of Russia don’t forget the fact that they have a great past, the Soviet Civilization.

  30. Vinck says:

After the Cold War ended 25 years ago, the Americans haven’t stopped mocking and demonizing Russia and Russians. In world wide seen movies, TV shows, “opinions”, etc… well, in every space and chance they get. You don’t see that histeric compulsion from the Russian side. Why do Americans ‘need’ do that? No answer…

So, don’t be surprised if (only very few) Russians finally get a bit sensitive.

  31. Josh says:

Our administration is trying to bring our country down (USA) and trash our reputation with the world. Putin is 100x a better leader than Obama. Hopefully our next election will produce a good leader that will repair our relations with Russia and change a few things around.

  32. dogtreat says:

I know where I will never visit.

  33. Rog says:

If russians are so good and honest people, I just wonder why every country around Russia have joined NATO?
The truth is noone trust Russia anymore, particulary not the Baltic States and since their occupation of Crimea russia have showed the world how trustworthy they are. In fact, most of the whole world dislike them.
Smaller countries as Romania, Hungary, Poland, Norway etc want protection from russia and therefore join NATO, but as said earlier, it is common in russia to blame everyone else when things doesnt go their way.

    • Rashomon says:

Don’t worry so much. What would you do without an “enemy”? Probably you would be shooting at yourselves at school. Oh, wait…
