And this was Lenin’s official ride.In 1921 the communists have formed the special unit that was responsible for the top officials cars. They started buying best cars, hire best drivers. This unit is still active and serves rides to top leaders of Russian state now.

In 1930s most popular cars were Fords and Packards.

But in 1940s they have built soviet limo – ZIL. it was bullet proof and very comfy. Stalin’s favorite car. Though Stalin was very paranoid about the assassinations – he never used same car two days in a row, always changed his routes. Nobody in the unit knew which car he is going to use today.

It is surprising how the proletarian hero like lenin ,who ordered protesting peasants to be killed en masse, had love for luxury cars made in western countries

I mean, these commies were supposed to care for poor but they behaved exactly like capitalists who they were supposed to hate

“prole”, the cars were (and still are) property of the State. The cars weren’t a private property of any particular politician. That’s pretty different from the “capitalists who they were supposed to hate”, according to you.
