22 Carnations to Stalin

Carnations to Stalin

Posted on March 6, 2016 by team

Yesterday was a special day for many Russians. 63 years ago passed away "one of the greatest men who had ever lived in this world - Joseph Stalin", at least some of the people gathered pretty sure in this statement..

Early in the morning, despite adverse weather, people formed the line at his monument to put carnations on his grave. Elderly people, young people, even children... They looked rather sad, some even cried. They would really wish to have Stalin back...

It’s amazing how free booze can get you to show up for anything.

“One of the greatest” : well, at least we know what think Putin’s lovers… Thanks for the confirmation !

Just a few of them. In the US, people still think that killing most of their their Natives and enlsaving Africans was “necessary”… and many miss those great times.

you see mostly the young. the foolish brainwashed young. it is the same here, no real knowledge of the past. foolish ? or stupid? 40,000,000 would not celebrate his birthday only his passing.

Soon in Berlin, The flower tribute to Adolf Hitler…

  7. Pom2Ter says:

Wow, seriously that kind of gathering would be a great occasion for Moscow psychiatric wards to pick up new inmates and make the street cleans… They are all packed in the same place, they just need to load them in a bus and drive them to the asylum then lock the door…

Just popped in to say “THIS^” to all of the above, and thanks for making me laugh at work at “free booze can get you to show up to anything”.

    …not exactly a huge crowd.

One one side, lead the the Soviet Union and Red Army to vaporize the invading Nazi vermin.

On the other, vaporized his own citizens by the millions as paranoid as he was.

I read a few Stalin’s biographies as well as other books about the history of Russia.

Stalin was an ‘interesting’ character and evil incarnate. Millions died by his direct and indirect orders, in Russia and abroad. If there is a hell I hope that there’s a special place for him.

It was not because of Stalin but despite him that the war was won. The gulag cost more than it made, the hand-dug canals are hardly used, etc.

People who adore this man have no historical insight.

    OK, I’ll stop now ;)

This shows History isn’t black and white. The Soviets saw their nation rise from an illiterate, peasant country into an Industrial Super Power, and all of their living standard rised dramatically. All this in a Generation. BUT the cost of this is simply unthinkable now. Frankly, it was just too deadly.

More or less the same thing when the US transformed itself. Millions of Natives were killed and countless Africans were enslaved, and the US became an economic juggernaut. Also, this terrible cost would be unthinkable today. But that’s how it was.

    • Chac Mool says:

Good comment. I guess that building world wide Empires, leave a lot of people dead. There are no exceptions.

  13. Slaven says:

Why couldnt traitor with the skid marks on his head died that day?

  14. Alper says:

    These people are idiots.

  15. Ron says:

Eventually, people will even commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Nixon, or Bush senior and junior, and perhaps the other “warlords in office” over in the USA.

    • Pom2Ter says:

Well those ones didn’t kill as much people, you should probably do … Nixon is responsible for the Watergate… Bush Sr and Jr are probably not even responsible for 3-5% of 20+ millions of deaths Stalin is responsible for…

  16. Chief Grey Hawk says:

These conmemorations shouldn’t be such a suprise for white Americans: Every year in November, they have a strange celebration remembering when their hungry, settler ancestors gave “thanks” to the Natives for saving them from starvation. Soon, these same Natives were all killed and almost exterminated. Those were “the greatest” times.

  17. Mister Twister says:

Wow… respecting that son of a bitch. One of my middle school teachers had her family starving thanks to Stalin.

    Idiots.

  18. Thunderpuss 5000 says:

Fuck that douchebag; he was a mass-murdering gangster who should be forgotten.
