Ulan-Ude aircraft factory is one of the largest and oldest In Russia. It used to make both aircrafts and helicopters but today it specializes in making Mi-8 helicopters (Mi-171 is an export version). In November 2015 the factory gave a new modification to the military for their work in the Arctic region – Mi-8AMTSH-VA. Blogger fyodor-photo thought this to be a good reason to pay a visit to the factory.
