Have you ever knew that Russian pretty old MiG-29s can do an almost vertical take off, like a space rocket? If you’ve never seen those planes doing this kind of a thing – then here is a short video, just under one minute. At first it seems thing go pretty normal, until you see it! Highly recommended to watch!

1.1 thrust to weight ratio is a beautiful thing.

  2. Elan says:

Meh. Fighter jets do stuff like that all the time. Here’s a video of a 787 doing the same thing. Much more impressive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWTK9phKoaE

Fool, that’s like comparing a bus and a Ferrari. The Boeing is at 45-55 degree and is losing speed, the Mig can accelerate at a 90 degree angle.

  3. gecoon says:

This is Polish Air Force MIG-29, not russian buhahahahahahaahhahaha :D:D:D

    • nikoliy says:

      lol, another fool.
MiG-29 is only produced in Russia. Or are you saying that if I buy a car its the same as manufacturing a car?

      • Pom2Ter says:

It might be produced in Russia, I think you missed his point and you are the fool… he was saying that it’s not a Mig-29 used by the Russian Air Force but used by the Polish Air Force… He wasn’t saying Poland built it… many ex Warsaw Pact countries bought Mig-29… Romania, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia etc… They used them but didn’t built them…

        • nikoliy says:

He is the fool and you are following his foolishness. He proclaimed “not Russian” as if he discovered a conspiracy. Ownership by the Polish Air Force or by Romania, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia, makes this fighter no less Russian. There is no claim that its Russian Air force, in fact the video description clearly states “Polish Air Force”…

  4. Saperonides says:

You’ve never seen those planes doing this kind of a thing. Because this is Polish pilot :D. You also, right this is very good machine one of the best in her time.

  5. Rafal from Savigny says:

    Polish pilot, Russian plane.

  6. Rafal from Savigny says:

nikoliy, you need to take a deep breath and chillout, life is more fun after, greetings from France.

  7. monkeychap says:

English Electric Lightning was doing the same thing nearly 60 years ago!

    • nikoliy says:

Electric Lightning cant accelerate straight up. The thrust to weight ratio 0.8. That means that it will loose speed…

Harrier and Typhoon can… well Typhoon can the Harrier is too slow to keep accelerating.

  8. mahon says:

    Polish pilot Capt. Artur Rojek.

  9. Aleksander says:

That was a polish pilot in a Mig29 Polish Air Force aircraft.
