Sometimes hate mongering goes too way off hand. These footage was shot this weekend in Bratsk Russia. Some local municipality activists were conducting a contest for the best kick. The role model for the contest was.. an active American president photo, full scale. The video got very popular in Russian network fast, with mostly controversial reviews – most of the viewers condemned such activity, noting that even in the harshest Cold War times there has been no such acts. Well, stupidity sometimes has no limits.
It has been noted that for quite a while quite a lot of Russian people blame president Obama personally for the hardships them or the country might experience lately. It’s not quite clear if its a result of state TV influence or personal judgement to their best ability, or all together, but then when it results in such ugly performances the question of reason and civilization arises, as this is clearly not something that modern civilized people should take part in.

Cool !!!

What an intelligent way of making a point.
Really, it is Obama this time and the next? Great way to teach youth respect for authority. Try Putin’s, Krills’ or Jesus Christ next.
There is definitely something wrong when such activities take place no matter which country it happens. I think you make a good point in the post, quote “It’s not quite clear if its a result of state TV influence or personal judgement to their best ability, or all together, but then when it results in such ugly performances the question of reason and civilization arises, as this is clearly not something that modern civilized people should take part in.”
What a shame … not all russians like them …sorry
Not all Russians are like them, but majority are.
Recent sociological studies found that 86% of Russians support Putin and hate America.
Maybe that 86% just hate USA goverment for they stupid tirany about world politics? And support Putin because they do something wright? Why russians hate ordinary american people?
Hey, I’m American. I’m not the only one (far from it) that would join in on this! Freedom of speech anyone???
The caption on top reads “hit against sanctions”.
I kicked a poster. HIGH-FIVE!
Nobody like that slime-ball president
My observation was more of a change in decorum and respect for individuals versus institutions. The problem is with America not an individual. The masses have started to appropriate too much power to one person, the visible leader, in an political force. In generational pass, we would have been kicking a photo of the caricature Uncle Sam; which indicated we opposed the entirety of American power brokers. My comment was an observation. On
the change in focus of our anger and the unspoken dangers of thinking one person (in America) can change one damn thing in major political national policy. So the comment was not against freedom of speech or rage against sanctions (which I disagree with ). It was about the danger of falling back into a world view that it is the head of the grain which has the power rather than its tail.
An American says:” We have freedom of speech! I can criticize our government as much as I want!”
Russian says: “We have freedom of speech too! We can criticize your government as much as we want as well!” LOL
To Akskl: That was good. I laugh with you.
