Jumanji on streets of Tbilisi

Posted on June 14, 2015 by tim

A surreal story is happening these hours on the streets of Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia, ex soviet republic. The city got flooded yesterday and so did the city zoo. The water broke the fences and protecting cages and hundreds of wild animals rushed the flooded city streets. Citizens post all the days photos of stray hippos, bears and even crocodiles roaming the streets. See more inside, together with videos:

To get the animals back under control they shoot them with sleep inducing darts.

And warn people of Tbilisi to not leave their houses without emergency need.

Sadly, some of the animals got killed in the process. For example Spetsnaz was called to shoot the wild lion.

Hippos kill more people in Africa than lions and crocodiles.

From what I heard they ended up shooting the lions, tigers, and bears.

    Oh my.

and the bad part is that after that carnage, some idiot will rise and say that the zoo was a city reference and pride and they will get another bunch of poor animals and close them. Against zoo´s and circus. leave the animals were they belong.
