Posted on January 12, 2015 by tim

I thought you might be pleased to see those awesome, wide screen (on click), wallpaper quality fresh shots of second largest Russian city St. Petersburg by a prominent  photographer Vaganov. Please see inside:

Again, you can click and enjoy the wide screen view of the photos.

Here on photo you see both of St. Petersburg grand cathedrals: Kazans and Isaacs.

A clock on top of Petropavlovsky cathedral.

A Vladimir’s Cathedral.

October’s 2014 sunset above the Fontanka river.

Morning dawn above the Obvodny Canal (chanel).

Summer dawn above the Kirishi power plant.

St. Petersburg money minting center.

A Zayachi Island.

The Hotel Astoria in St. Petersburg downtown.

The Big Obukhov bridge.

The Smolny Cathedral.

Big thanks goes to the photographer for the chance to see the beauty of the city thru his lens. Thanks, Avisman!

It’s a gasometer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_holder (picture on the wikipedia page). There are a few others in the area and on satellite view / street view you can see lots of big pipes around them: https://goo.gl/maps/ClGtH
