Wood and Lumber Exhibition of Year 1900

In the year 1900, the leading lumber and wood manufacturers came to St. Petersburg to participate in an exhibition of Russian wood industries. These are the things they brought with them. Come on inside to see what the exhibitions looked like in Russia at that time.

 

Wooden carvings were still widely used one hundred years ago. Also, outside were examples of the young trees from the tree growers.

Rocks and wood – an entrance into the pavilion of the grower, Count Stroganoff.

    Gee, I thought that all Russians were groaning under the heel of Tsarist oppression then, how could they have had an exhibition?
