Russian Astrophysicists of 1960

Here, the photos of Russian astrophysicists doing their jobs in Crimea lab in 1960. I find those pics pretty enchanting – the space science on verge of its golden era with so many expectations and support, when only the bright minds could find their ways to the jobs like this working with such sophisticated equipment. Just look at them.

I agree, the photos are enchanting. There was so much to learn and explore back then. Now, there is no support and no expectation for space exploration. Here, many young bright minds are loosing hope of putting their mind to good use. I hope the bright minds find their way to the next peaceful frontier, maybe design robots to explore space like Mars Rover.

Maybe, the bright minds of Crimea will be busy soon with the challenges of burying South Stream oil pipeline off the coast of Crimea.
