IL 76T: Civil Modification of a Military Craft

Il-76T is a civil modification of the famous military-transport aircraft. This craft was made in 1981, discarded in 1995. Today it is parked at the aviation technical training center in Sheremetyevo, Moscow, and is used for study by students who examine the plane for their practical course.

    Beautiful lined airplane, but unfortunate a little to expensive for me.

    Yes, beautiful airplane. But very obsolete technology: Lots of switches and dials, not displays, not computers; surely not “solid estate” electronic (thermoionic valves instead of transistors). Looks western technology from the 50’s – 60’s; not 80’s.
    If you compare this plane with their contemporany Boeing or Airbus, you can understand the URRS economic collapse: they could not compete with western products in market.
