Very interesting. My daughter attends Rowan University, which is in Glassboro, New Jersey. I believe the treaty that ended the war was signed on the campus there. I drive through Glassboro each day on my way to work. Keep up the the excellent work of this site. I enjoy it very much. Very fascinating.

Great and rare photographs. The japanese were very unhappy with the terms of the treaty. They felt that they had been cheated out of a victory.

  3. Jean says:

Interesting pictures of a lesser known war, wich ended in a Glorious Victory in 1945.

Now in the world there are only 2 ships that war… the Battleship Mikasa(JP) who miraculously saved on the American money and now he stands as a monument in Japan and the cruiser Aurora which still represents the might of the Russian Navy and still is not only a Museum, but the gunship (during the second world he defended Saint Petersburg as a base for anti-aircraft guns, his cannon defended the hills, and now is the opportunity to return to the 100 years ago in almost original cruiser of the times of the Tsar’s fleet…)
