The Mansion of the Noble Russian Family

Not far from the old city of Torzhok in the Tver city of Russia there is a village Gruziny – the former property of the Russian noble family of the Poltoratskiye. They had a summer residence there which soooner resembled a palace. The house once having 120 rooms was one of the richest mansions of the Tver province. All that splendour has not been preserved to the present day, of course. But the palace is still wonderful.

It’s great that Russia is now an economic 1st world power and has the wealth to restore this historic house to its original condition. The heritage of each nation is their obligation to pass on to future generations. Developed countries have been doing this for decades, and it’s great that others can catch up.
