Test Station Decaying In the Waters of the Caspian Sea

Posted on October 6, 2013 by team

This test station of naval armament in Makhachkala, Dagestan, was put into operation back in 1939. It stands 2,7 kilometres away from the shore and has not been in use for a long time. Each new day it’s  ruined by merciless waves of the Caspian Sea.

All the underground part of the giant structure was built on the coast in the pit with capacity of 530 thousand cubic meters dug out by means of both dredges and hands.
