    There is a rumour that when the Swedish army were testing the leppard as a possible replacement for the 103 they ran it so far down in the mud that they in fact considered covering it in and leaving it there, just pay the factory the asking price and forget the whole thing. But in the end they brought in two big excavators and dug för a day and a half to get it out…
    And yes in the end they did buy a bunch of them..
    Don’t know if the fact that it worked when dug out had something to do with that decision

    I am a former tank man in the U.S. Army. I have seen tanks mired into mud before, but never this bad. It will require an excavator to get those two out. I cant imagine that a tank retriever could pull them out.
