There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM, and ITT, and AT&T, and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today. What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state, Karl Marx? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and compute the price-cost probabilities of their transactions and investments, just like we do. We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr. Beale.

By the time the people knew what was going on, he had a firm grip on power and would destroy anybody that spoke out against him.

This is one way dictators come to power. Lie. Promise them stuff, then when you get power, turn on them.

Another, is to create the very problems you claim to be able to solve. If only you had more power. Then promise to return it “after the crisis is over”. Then when you get absolute power, you keep the “crisis” going, so you never have to return the power the people gave you. When they complain about it, you kill them.

(this is what obama the lawless is trying to do. Create such problems in America, that only he can solve. But he’s fighting an election system ever four years, and term limits of 8 years for him, so…. he’s only got 3 1/2 years left to make his move)

Another, is by sheer force.
