Posted on September 17, 2012 by team

The hole near the railway was filled with about one million tons of gravel and sand mixture.

Everyone who lives in the city cannot be sure that no holes anymore appear one day under their houses and take everything they have under the ground…

It was predicted by dozens years ago, that the infrastructure will start collapsing due to chronic underinvestment. This is how it looks like, when it does…

I hope Dimitry Rybolovlev’s $88 million apartment is swallowed by a sinkhole with his daughter in it.

    • Tiger says:

No. He doesn´t need to breath the dirty air of Russian industrial areas. He lives in Cyprus, Florida and New York. His daughter bought an appartment for 88 million USD recently.
Now Perm is one of the cities where the money is made and look at its condition. And then you look at a young daughter buying herself an 88 Million appartment. And then you start to wonder how this is a tolerable situation. All the raw materials oligarchs should be heavily taxed and/or expropriated. Raw materials is a stupid business. It is like selling water in the desert. The profit should go in to infrastructure, housing and health care. And of course in reducing pollution of Russia´s rich nature.

Texas has the Wink Sink (natural) and an intellectual sinkhole in the Governor’s Mansion (man-made).

    Let’s hope it’s not Perm-anent.

Whats wrong with a fish pond in middle of the city?

  7. Random Chaos says:

What in the substrate has collapsed? Here in Florida the entire state sits on a rigid sponge of old coral reef and peoples’ houses sink into the ground, sometimes in a matter of a day or so. Eventually we will disappear under the seas, along with one of the largest deposits of fresh water in the world. No more Republicans though, Hallelujah. They’re into absolute denial, including the ground opening up beneath their feet.

  8. burak says:

instead of filling it,they could use it as a swimingpool..:)
