By the way, the city was founded by the Russian Tsar Ivan the Terrible in 1584. Peter the First visited the place thrice. There is a monument to the legendary person on the bank of the Northern Dvina. In 2009 our town was called “The Town of Military Glory”. Ordinary people, women, children who worked during the War, heroes, scientists and researchers made a great contribution to the Victory in WWII.

Great pics; especially the Novaya Zemyla pics. Wish there were more of them; far NE Europe (the Maine of Europe)
poor people
there were no people in arkhangelsk, they were all killed by stalin and this is a propaganda set deliberately put up for russia’s useful idiots
Second to last one doesn’t look Russian. The people are smiling!
Nice pics.
I notice that the smiles get less as the date get more recent, I guess that is the effect of communism and the slaughter of your own countrymen by uncle joe.
