A Copy of Lamborghini From Ukraine

Posted on September 6, 2012 by team

Another copy of a super car. A guy from Ukraine made a copy of Lamborghini from scratch with his own hands. He used various available materials and finally got an amazing result.

The process of the car creation are on the photos below.

How much does this car weigh after all this extra metal?

  2. Murphy says:

Without an engine he will not have the same performance as the Lamborgini. And for sure worse performance than the Mitsubishi.

    Eat your heart out Italy

  4. kubs says:

it looks cool, until you park it a real lamborghini. then you start to notice all the differences. height, length, wheel size. then just turn the engine on.

  5. JuhaPekkaNurminen says:

    great work

  6. lenny says:

It must be super-heavy and handle like an old Volga

    • Thomas says:

Why would it be? It’s not using 20mm steel plate like you seem to think.

I can bet anytime that adding fiberglass parts on top of original surface steel plates would add more weight than stripping the original steel away and replacing it with your own.

As large fiberglass pieces as this would need, would weight at least 100 kilos: Whole nose, whole rear, both sides and large section of roof. All that on top of original weight.

The strength of the steel shows: You’ll need less of it.

  7. absolutely great. one of the best cars built in a garage by a regular Russian guy! mad props to You, Russians! even here in Estonia, the best cars are owned by Russians. they do have another side of them, who make the cars butt ugly and ‘personalize’ them to the fullest (you know what i mean). and then there are guys like this and guys who buy a e32 750i and keep it absolutely like it came from the factory, ALL original headlights, taillights, blinkers included.
and the wheels, of course. that, to me, is the most beautiful car – completely stock car from the 80s or 90s, no matter if its a Honda CRX, Toyota Corolla, Honda Accord, Honda Legend coupe 95, Lexus GX470 or BMW 750 e32 (’91). all these cars are beautiful to me, especially (and many times, ONLY) when they are – 101% STOCK!!!!!!!

  8. Russiafan says:

Really superb workmanship. Of course he knows that he is not going to get the performance, but as I think he probably runs an auto body shop for a living, what an absolutely great rolling advertisement on wheels for his skill

  9. rtqwd$ says:

    good job

  10. Jeebs says:

WOW! hom much weight did he just add to that car you know there is a such thing as fiberglass dude

    • ptc says:

Russia. They made everything from steel used for their tanks. Everything, including that what others made from plastic.

    • Thomas says:

Not much. You seem to think that fiberglass is somehow self-supporting structure. It isn’t and 0,4mm steel plate is not much heavier than fiberglass by m^2. Add the necessary supports and fiberglass is easily heavier.
Joining fiberglass parts is pain compared to welding.

If you paid attention, you noticed that all of the original surface plates were removed so the weight increase is just additional supports (wire), hinges for the doors and additional steel surface area.

Thin plate isn’t heavy so it’s tens of kilos, not hundreds, easily fixed by losing back seats.

Fiberglass is good if you are making tens of pieces and/or free forms with a mold, otherwise it loses to steel in almost every aspect and this car has very sharp edges.

I heard in the western countries they didn’t like putin,Why do people in the west dislike putin?but most chinese like the putin!can you tell me why why why???~_~

    • Jeebs says:

You heard the west don’t like the poopin but most Chinese love the poopin??? lol

    • Asmodeus says:

Putin has worrisome authoritarian tendencies, but Russia has grown fast with him, making a constant recovery.

The “West” really doesn’t have a problem with Authoritarian Rulers or true Corrupt, Undemocratic Dictators (Mubarak, Pinochet, Somoza, Duvalier, Musharraf, Stroessner, Videla, Mexico’s PRI, Iran’s Sha, Arab Kings, etc, etc, etc…).

The “West” only has problems when Authoritarian Rulers don’t sell out. And it seems Putin hasn’t done that yet.

How “good” is he? Only Russians know that, I can’t tell because I don’t live there.

    • vorontsevich says:

Because he’s not doing everything the West is telling him to do.

    • America says:

Who says we don’t like Pooty Poot?

  13. 山下智久 says:

hyundai almost overtook toyota in china this year!hyundai motor world first!!!

  14. ZenKa says:

one kick to it and it will fall appart

  15. Chac Mool says:

I know Russia is making a healthy recovery, but I’m truly worried about the Ukrainians.

  16. timoulete says:

nice job, looks little cheap but that cheap ! I don’t have skill for this kind of works.

  17. petrohof says:

looks good from distance, but performance is not. is still now even heaver and slower. buy the real thing, it’s not that bad $$$

  18. Osip says:

He should get a real job and quit playing.

  19. SSSR says:

I would like to buy a professionally built Lambo replica because I cant afford $3500 every six months for the insurance for a real Lambo! It dont matter if the replica does not have the same performance as the real thing, look at the insurance again, yes that is a lot of money!

  20. America says:

I wonder whatever happened to my original comment. I guess ER doesn’t like me saying positive thinks about Russians? lol

    • Jeebs says:

Ya I’ve noticed my comments tend to disappear as well lol I think this site is run by the kgb :)

    • Jeebs says:

They just removed my comment again I told you the kgb run this site lol

    • vorontsevich says:

You? Saying something positive about Russia/Russians? Sounds legit.

      • America says:

I take it back, i said something positive about the Ukrainian guy’s fabrication skills. I should have known better then to assume a Russian made that! lol

Mad props to that Ukrainian guy, nice work.

        • vorontsevich says:

Whew. The world is not coming to an end after all. You’re still the same igno-rant Russophobe as always.

          • America says:

lol at the very idea that anyone who isn’t pro-Russian must have “Russophobia”, an irrational fear or dislike of anything Russian, to explain away why they are not pro-Russian. FAIL

            • vorontsevich says:

Hmm. Lets see, I wasn’t talking about “anyone who isn’t pro-Russia”, I was referring to you. You’re about as Russophobic as anyone can get.

“an irrational fear or dislike of anything Russian” Thats you.

              nice try.

            • Fred Flintstone says:

Pro Russian? No, but even beautiful posts here make vomit false nonsense. Seems you need that dose of pain.

You’re just the funniest guy here with your amusing spins and even more fails, that’s all. Pleaser answer back your usual cr*p to prove it again.

  21. SSSR says:

Now the car needs some bulls on it.

Enzo Ferrari and Tonino Lamborghini have created the coolest cars on Earth!!

    • ptc says:

Coolest cars with problems thar serial cars noes not have – and expensive repairs :-) Some parts last only 15.000 kilometers (100.000 on normal cars)

  22. ZeroDrop says:

I think the guy never had the intention to replicate the performance of a Lamborghini, jut inspired on it’s looks.

Come on, guys, who in sane mind would mistake this modified car for a real Lamborghini? Not even close! Lamborghinis doesn’t have a front motor, it’s in the back, the front of a Lamborghini is very short because of that.

But, indeed, was a great workmanship, the guy has a truly admirable ability to work with metal, and this is the whole point of this car. My biggest congratulations to him!

  23. komar says:

    classic work good handcraftsmen.

  24. Tony B. says:

As a guy who lives in the US, I have to say, I’ve seen far worse customs on the road than this. I’m in awe of this guy’s skill and talent. If he were stateside, I guarantee people would be beating a path to his door. If he were over here, he’d be on the same level with guys like Chip Foose. Yeah, it’s slower than a stock Eclipse, but that’s easy to fix. With his skills, I’m sure fabbing mounts and installing something like a turbo W-8 mill would NOT be beyond this guy’s abilities. I give it two thumbs up…WAY up.
