Territory of Flowers

Posted on August 19, 2012 by team

When we see hundreds of flowers in the streets and boulevards, when we give them to our dear ones, we usually do not ask ourselves where they all come from. But the answer is simple: from hothouses, of course!

The Moscow region has a lot of hothouses: little and small. One of them, old enough, we are going to visit now.

No matter what the weather outside is, inside the hothouse it is always warm and damp.

Various devices are inside of it: ventilators, pumps, transoms… They are all here to maintain the optimal microclimate of the hothouse.

Workers of the hothouse are mostly from former Asian Union republics.

Special lamps are used to provide more light for the flowers.

New high-rise buildings are approaching the hothouse, soon it might be ordered to be taken down.

This is how one gets a beautiful bunch of flowers!
