These are fantastic! They remind me of photos my grandmother had from the 1920s and 30’s. She wasn’t Russian, but the photos and styles were quite similar.

Who cares where they are from HISTORY.

  3. Anatole says:

Thank you for the analysis. The wealth and power of the oligarchs was built on the backs of Russia’s workers. It’s too bad that pictures like these aren’t seen more widely, as the west loves to portray Russians as gangsters, not as real people.

Bunch of great pictures. The blonde looks like a Russian Jean Harlow. Hope these people all had good lives.

Oh NOOOO! The couldn’t have good lives! Don’t you ever forget – they were horribly opressed, executed daily and eaten personally by Stalin!!

Glimpses of long past days. Some of the settings actually pretty funny.Like that bald colonel-leutenant who looks like ruthless SMERSH officer and at the same time gently holding a baby :)

  7. The 31st photo has made in Budapest, Hungary exactly at the southern corner of The Hauses of Parlament. That bridge behind the two officer has demolished, it was “Kossuth-bridge”.
