An American professor Frank Whitson Fetter was travelling along Russia in the early 1930s, these are the photos of one of the oldest Russian cities, muslim capital of central Russia that recently celebrated 1000 years old.

    Early ’30 what a memorable time! The americans put prohibition on alchool and the communist put prohibittion of food. Ehehe, what famine was that time! Good job, comrades!

    Under Stalin’s 30’s there was also a prohibiton on life. Thus many comrades had to be let off.
