Famous Western photographer Ferdinando Scianna came to the USSR in 1987 to make a photoshoot for one fashion magazine. Streets of Leningrad were used as fashion decorations.

No wonder, it was the epoch of the communism fall, Russia and its “perestroika” were the most discussed topics in the world.

    Some of these styles of the random leningradians are pretty common these days, though they are called preppy, vintage or old school now.
