The Territory of Salvation

Not far from Noginsk (the Moscow region), at a polygon of the Russian EMERCOM, there was held an exhibition of equipment for the Ministry of Emergency Situations. As part of this exhibition they arranged extensive training of lifesavers that is shown in this post.

This polygon in Noginsk can be called one of the best where all possible emergencies are accumulated: from flooded small premises to earthquake aftermath at the objects of chemical and oil industries.

Lifesaver landing on the roof for people evacuation with help of aircrafts, telescopic ladders and air bags.

Trucks are extinguishing the fire from the land.

    very impressive they could use you guys in the US but looks like they need you more in Siberia.

    ER keeps using this term “polygon”, but as far as I know it doesn’t really have any relevant meaning in this context.
    The first thing that probably comes to everybody’s mind is the 2 dimensional geometric object. It’s confusing.

    The water bomber drops coloured water for display. In reality, chemicals are added to the water, for fire fighting purposes, that are coloured. It is very useful in forest fires to locate previous drop zones to prevent missing an area.
